The Glock 34 earns a 4.5-star rating for its 1.5-inch groups at 25 yards and extended slide release. The 17-round magazine is great. I took off half a star due to the bulky frame.

The Taurus 856 deserves a 4.5-star rating for its 3-inch groups at 10 yards and rubber grip. The shrouded hammer aids carry. I subtracted half a star because the sights are basic.
