The Beretta APX from Gunzest is a striker-fired pistol. The 4-inch barrel in 9mm groups within 2.5 inches at 15 yards. The modular grip fits well, and the 17-round magazine is great. The black finish resists wear, and the support was helpful.
The Springfield XD-M Elite 4.5” merits a 4.5-star rating for its match-grade barrel and optics-ready slide, grouping within 2 inches at 25 yards. The grip texture is great. I subtracted half a star due to the stiff magazine release.
